 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Rest in Power🙏🏾  Legendary singer, activist, and actor #HarryBelafonte has died of congestive heart failure at 96 years old, The New York Times reports.


Harry was a renowned singer, actor, and activist. He was a pioneer in breaking down barriers for Black performers in the entertainment industry and became a major force in the civil rights movement. 


Belafonte was best known for his hit songs, including "The Banana Boat Song" and "Jump in the Line," but his activism was equally important. 


He used his celebrity status to advocate for social justice and civil rights and worked closely with Dr. #MartinLutherKing Jr. Belafonte was also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador and focused on humanitarian efforts, including supporting programs that provided education and healthcare to underserved communities. 


He leaves behind a legacy of using his platform to make a positive impact on the world.
