 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. Rest in Power🙏🏾  Legendary singer, activist, and actor #HarryBelafonte has died of congestive heart failure at 96 years old, The New York Times reports.


Harry was a renowned singer, actor, and activist. He was a pioneer in breaking down barriers for Black performers in the entertainment industry and became a major force in the civil rights movement. 


Belafonte was best known for his hit songs, including "The Banana Boat Song" and "Jump in the Line," but his activism was equally important. 


He used his celebrity status to advocate for social justice and civil rights and worked closely with Dr. #MartinLutherKing Jr. Belafonte was also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador and focused on humanitarian efforts, including supporting programs that provided education and healthcare to underserved communities. 


He leaves behind a legacy of using his platform to make a positive impact on the world.

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her. Namtira said if the school authorities fail to sanction the student bullies within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, she would seek immediate and severe legal redress against the school.
