 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements. Lionel Messi to leave PSG

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

This claim was made by respected ESPN journalist Martin Alvaro.

According to Alvaro, Messi’s happiness is in Barcelona Football Club and the Argentina World Cup star could make a return to the Spanish La Liga giant this summer.

Messi, 35, is yet to sign a new contract with PSG and the chances of him making a return to Barcelona are increasing by the day.

His contract with the French Ligue 1 champions will expire at the end of the season.

Speaking on Messi’s situation at PSG, Alvaro told Sports Centre EPSN, “Messi is going to leave Paris. They never understood that they had the best.

“Leo’s happiness is in FC Barcelona and even if he has to play for free, he will try to find it.”

Messi joined PSG in the summer of 2021 from Barca after the Catalan club failed to renew his contract due to La Liga regulations.

Barcelona hierarchy has since expressed their desire to bring Messi back to the club once his contract with PSG expires.
