 A driver lost his life, while another sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between two articulated trucks on the R40 road in Shatale near Bushbuckridge early this morning (Friday, April 4). According to Moeti Mmusi, spokesperson for the Department of Safety, Security, and Liaison, the accident occurred just after 04:00 when the two trucks, traveling in opposite directions, collided. He further stated that bad weather and reckless driving cannot be ruled out as possible causes of the crash.

WANTED; The Edo Police Command has  placed a Sum N5 million Naria reward for information that would lead to the arrest of Rachael Iyonmana, a Canada-based Nigerian lady, over accusations of cyberbullying/stalking, defamation and impersonation.

ā€œOn January 11, the Commissioner of Police received a petition from the chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, reporting  the alleged offence of cyberbullying/stalking and defamation of character, against one Rachael Eboni Osazee Iyonmana,ā€ he said

The police spokesman said the command had written a letter to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Force CID Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, but while the police were on her trail to effect the arrest, intelligence revealed that the suspect was in Canada.

Mr Nwabuzor said the suspect opened multiple Facebook accounts, using the petitionerā€™s photographs and full name on Facebook, and used demeaning, derogatory language to defame the petitionerā€™s personality.

ā€œFrom investigation, Rachael is based in Canada. Therefore, anybody with information about her presence in Nigeria should inform the police. The information would be entertained by the office of the Commissioner of Police, PPRO and Anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit, and the informant would be rewarded with N5 million,ā€ said the PPRO.

He also said that the Nigerian Police had also synergised with the Nigeria Immigration Service to arrest the suspect at any time in Nigeria.
