 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired. NIGERIAN LADY BASED IN CANADA DECLARED WANTED BY THE EDO STATE POLICE COMMAND. (PHOTO).

WANTED; The Edo Police Command has  placed a Sum N5 million Naria reward for information that would lead to the arrest of Rachael Iyonmana, a Canada-based Nigerian lady, over accusations of cyberbullying/stalking, defamation and impersonation.

“On January 11, the Commissioner of Police received a petition from the chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, reporting  the alleged offence of cyberbullying/stalking and defamation of character, against one Rachael Eboni Osazee Iyonmana,” he said

The police spokesman said the command had written a letter to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Force CID Annex, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, but while the police were on her trail to effect the arrest, intelligence revealed that the suspect was in Canada.

Mr Nwabuzor said the suspect opened multiple Facebook accounts, using the petitioner’s photographs and full name on Facebook, and used demeaning, derogatory language to defame the petitioner’s personality.

“From investigation, Rachael is based in Canada. Therefore, anybody with information about her presence in Nigeria should inform the police. The information would be entertained by the office of the Commissioner of Police, PPRO and Anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit, and the informant would be rewarded with N5 million,” said the PPRO.

He also said that the Nigerian Police had also synergised with the Nigeria Immigration Service to arrest the suspect at any time in Nigeria.
