 OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT TAKES SWIFT ACTION ON SAGAMU INTERCHANGE SECURITY CONCERNS In response to rising security concerns at the Sagamu Interchange, Amotekun operatives and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) carried out operations under the bridge this morning to address criminal activities in the area. The government acknowledges the disturbing reports of violent attacks on innocent citizens and assures residents that decisive measures are being taken to restore safety. The security agencies have been mobilized to increase surveillance and crack down on criminal elements operating in the vicinity. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies. The Ogun State Government remains committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and travelers. No recruitment exercise going on, hackers on rampage — ITF Warns

 The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has warned Nigerians against fake recruitment advertisement making the rounds on social media.

The warning was contained in a statement signed by the Director of the Public Affairs Department, Industrial Training Fund, Mrs. Suleyol Fred Chagu.

According to the statement: “Let the public please be aware that there is no recruitment exercise going on in the Industrial Training Fund.

“These Individuals are only out to deceive and defraud the unsuspecting public”.

The statement also noted that “some unscrupulous individuals created a fake profile and page of the Fund’s Director-General/Chief Executive on LinkedIn and Facebook using the telephone number 07025143825”.

It, however, urged the public to “Please beware”.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
