Abia APC Denies Imposing Non-Member as Governorship Candidate, Declares Primary Transparent The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly rejected allegations that it allowed a non-member of the party to emerge as winner of its governorship primary election. The party’s reaction came on Monday following threats by some top members, including Mezie Chiekwe Esiaga and Ndubuisi Eme, who last week warned that the APC would face a major defeat in the 2027 governorship election if the ticket was not handed to former Minister of State for Science and Technology, Henry Ikoh. Addressing journalists at the party’s secretariat in Umuahia, Abia APC Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru, described the primary election won by Eric Opah as transparent and free from manipulation. We Will Surely Get The Men - Police Spokesperson, CSP Adejobi Reacts To Trending Video Of Police Officer Assaulting Man In Port Harcourt

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to the video of a police officer flogging a man in Port Harcourt. 

In the video that has gone viral, an officer could be seen flogging the man with a cane, while his colleague faced the man's female companion .

Adejobi said it is unethical for a police officer to flog someone. He added that irrespective of what the man must have done, he did not deserve to be be^aten ‘’like a baby.''

‘’Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned. Whatever the man must have done, he doesn't deserve this be^ating. Be^ating him like a baby?? A grown-up man?. We will surely get the men.”.

    See how he is flogging a man in front of his woman just because he is a Policeman with a gun. Tomorrow now they will say police is your friend. God will reward him. That is why when police dies, nobody is moved
