 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. We Will Surely Get The Men - Police Spokesperson, CSP Adejobi Reacts To Trending Video Of Police Officer Assaulting Man In Port Harcourt

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to the video of a police officer flogging a man in Port Harcourt. 

In the video that has gone viral, an officer could be seen flogging the man with a cane, while his colleague faced the man's female companion .

Adejobi said it is unethical for a police officer to flog someone. He added that irrespective of what the man must have done, he did not deserve to be be^aten ‘’like a baby.''

‘’Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned. Whatever the man must have done, he doesn't deserve this be^ating. Be^ating him like a baby?? A grown-up man?. We will surely get the men.”.

    See how he is flogging a man in front of his woman just because he is a Policeman with a gun. Tomorrow now they will say police is your friend. God will reward him. That is why when police dies, nobody is moved
