 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. We Will Surely Get The Men - Police Spokesperson, CSP Adejobi Reacts To Trending Video Of Police Officer Assaulting Man In Port Harcourt

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reacted to the video of a police officer flogging a man in Port Harcourt. 

In the video that has gone viral, an officer could be seen flogging the man with a cane, while his colleague faced the man's female companion .

Adejobi said it is unethical for a police officer to flog someone. He added that irrespective of what the man must have done, he did not deserve to be be^aten ‘’like a baby.''

‘’Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned. Whatever the man must have done, he doesn't deserve this be^ating. Be^ating him like a baby?? A grown-up man?. We will surely get the men.”.

    See how he is flogging a man in front of his woman just because he is a Policeman with a gun. Tomorrow now they will say police is your friend. God will reward him. That is why when police dies, nobody is moved
