  Nigerian Police Officer In Kaduna Threatens Reprisal Attack On Southerners In North Over Edo Killings A police officer from Kaduna State, Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, has threatening reprisal attacks on southerners living in northern Nigeria. Dan-Taki's comment came in response to the killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Dan-Taki, through a Facebook post, swore in the name of God, declaring that northerners in the north must take action against southerners.  He further warned that southerners had forgotten that their families were living in the north, vowing that "within one week, the southerners shall see the result." PRESIDENT BUHARI, TINUBU IN CLOSED-DOOR MEETING, PRAY JUMA’AT TOGETHER



President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, joined President Muhammadu Buhari to offer Friday prayers at the State House Mosque, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.


Before they joined the congregation in prayers, the two had a closed-door meeting at which they greeted one another on the Sallah occasion following the completion of the 30-day Ramadan fast and privately discussed a host of issues of common concern to them.


The President-elect was accompanied to the State House by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and two Governors, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq   of Kwara State as well as  Alhassan Ado Doguwa the Majority Leader of House of Representatives.


President Buhari in bidding a farewell to the visitor said “thank you for joining us in prayer.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
