 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. Rivers Police Commissioner Urge14 Newly Promoted Police Officers On The Tenets Of Modern Policing
 
The commissioner of Police in Rivers state CP Okon Okon Effiong on Wednesday decorated 14 newly promoted senior police officers in Rivers Command with their new ranks.

He asked the newly promoted police officers to use their new ranks to confront the challenges of modern policing to serve the society effectively. while noting that the promotion is a motivation and recognition of hard work as well as their diligence.

The CP also charged the officers to deliver on the confidence reposed on them while also urging them to ensure that they do not lose relationship with family and friends but should carry them along as expected of trained police to members of the public.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, the newly decorated Deputy Commissioner of Police, AKIKA SOLOMON in his acceptance speech, commended the Inspector General of Police Baba Usman Alkali and the state Commissioner of police Okon Effiong and assured them of their commitment in ensuring that members of the public feel the impact of their new office.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
