 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. SECOND TERM BID: LABOUR LEADERS ENDORSE UZODIMMA FOR SECOND TERM. 

 
Imo labour leaders have again expressed the satisfaction of Imo Workers and retirees over the rehabilitation of the Imo state civil service by His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

At a meeting with the Governor, the Labour leaders endorsed Governor Hope Uzodimma's second term bid as they showered encomuim on the Governor for his excellent performance and Governance  of the State.

The union leaders recounted how  the Governor has created a cordial relationship between the State Government, workers and Pensioners, the consistent  payment of salaries; payment of pensions; free mass transit for workers; renovation of the State Secretariat, a new clinic and health insurance for the workers and the approval and implementation of promotion for workers without any recourse to the downing of tools. 

They unanimously assured the Governor of their unalloyed support to his Government and his second term bid. 

The Imo State Governor in his response commended the patriotism of the Labour leaders in the state for standing on the side of justice and protecting the interest of workers. 

Governor Uzodimma promised them of the payment of gratuity despite the turbulent situation in Imo state which ranged from COVID-19 pandemic to the politically contrived insecurity in the state which doubled the cost of running the state affairs.

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
