 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.  Student slumps, dies after collecting matriculation gown in Ilorin

A yet to be named 100-level student of Kwara College of Education, Ilorin, has slumped after collecting her matriculation gown on Wednesday preparatory to her matriculation which was held yesterday (Thursday)


The student died on Wednesday while receiving lectures ahead of her first semester examination when she breathed her last, the college’s spokesperson, Mrs Abibat Zubair said while confirming the incident.


According to Zubair, though the student was immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Ilorin, was pronounced dead on arrival.


Zubair said the lady was mourned during the matriculation on Thursday.


She added that the school’s management already paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased.


The student has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours.
