 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. Unijos Confers Doctorate Degree Of Law On Emir Of Zazzau 

The Senate and Governing Council of the University of Jos has approved the award of Honourary Doctorate Degree of Laws, Honoris Causa to its Chancellor the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR. 

According to the Letter of Award presented by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ishaya Tanko while leading Management team of the University to his Palace, indicates that the award will be made after the Emir's investiture as Chancellor of the University at the 33rd/34th Convocation Ceremony slated for May, 2023.

Professor Tanko also disclosed that the Senate and Governing Council of the University deem it fit to award Malam Ahmad Bamalli with the Honorary Degree after carefully studying his profile, experience, dynamism, integrity and identifying with his wide range network. 

In a Statement, Media and Publicity Officer of the Zazzau Emirate Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai recalls that the Emir is also the Chancellor of Capital City University, Kano and Greenfield University, Kaduna.
