 Three sisters seize c0rpse of their late brother for 5 years while denying his bêreaved wife and s0n access to his properties. Three sisters have allegedly seized and refused to release the c0rpse of their late brother, one Mr. Ernest, to his wife and children, for five years. The incident happened in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, where the sisters and their läte brother are from. The sisters, who operate a prayer ministry, also seized the entire properties of their late brother and denied the wife and children access to them since 2019 when the deceased d!ed after a protracted illness caused by accident. The case was presented at the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare in Awka for government’s intervention. Speaking, the wife and the only surviving son of the deceased said they were also denied access to him when he was still alive and crit!cally ill, as the sisters allegedly took him away to the area where they have their prayer centre. UPDATE ON BANANA ISLAND BUILDING COLLAPSE



One body has been recovered from the rubble of the collapsed building at 1st Avenue, Banana Island, Ikoyi.


Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) workers’ search and recovery efforts unearthed the remains of the adult male hitherto unaccounted for by site supervisors.  


The excavation of the site, using the architectural designs, continues. The site has been divided into quadrants for a painstaking search and rescue operation. Quadrants 2 and 3 have been levelled to ground zero, with the search operation completed. Quadrant 4 is ongoing.


Twenty-five people were rescued from the site when the building went down on Wednesday. They are all doing fine.


When a roll call was conducted by the site supervisors, everyone was accounted for. Nobody could ascertain whether the victim, whose body was found this morning, was on the site – as of the time the roll call was taken.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
