 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. MAFINGA WOMAN KILLS HER HUSBAND FOR REFUSING TO GIVE HER K300


A 52-year-old man of Mafinga, Muchinga Province, has been hacked to death by his wife after he failed to give her a K300 she demanded for while they were drinking alcohol in the house.

Derrick Kaonga, 52, of Kaseya village, was allegedly hacked by wife Grace Musukwa, 46, on Sunday around 23:00 hours.

Kaonga sustained deep cuts on the neck, chin and right hand.

According to information gathered by the police, Mr Kaonga  last month travelled to Kachindu village, where he was hired to cut timber and paid K1300 when he returned, he gave K1000  to his wife and remained with K300. This annoyed the wife who wanted all the money. After a heated argument, she picked an axe and hit the man who died instantly. As he was dying, she searched her pocket and got the K300 she wanted.😭😭.
