 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare . MAFINGA WOMAN KILLS HER HUSBAND FOR REFUSING TO GIVE HER K300


A 52-year-old man of Mafinga, Muchinga Province, has been hacked to death by his wife after he failed to give her a K300 she demanded for while they were drinking alcohol in the house.

Derrick Kaonga, 52, of Kaseya village, was allegedly hacked by wife Grace Musukwa, 46, on Sunday around 23:00 hours.

Kaonga sustained deep cuts on the neck, chin and right hand.

According to information gathered by the police, Mr Kaonga  last month travelled to Kachindu village, where he was hired to cut timber and paid K1300 when he returned, he gave K1000  to his wife and remained with K300. This annoyed the wife who wanted all the money. After a heated argument, she picked an axe and hit the man who died instantly. As he was dying, she searched her pocket and got the K300 she wanted.😭😭.
