 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System. 10 Yahoo Boys Jailed in Enugu for Impersonation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Enugu Zonal Command, today May 9, 2023 secured the conviction of 10 internet fraudsters before Justice F. Riman of the Federal High Court sitting at Awka, Anambra State. 

The fraudster: Chisom Simon Ikenyiri, Ugwuanyi Innocent,  Ifeanyichukwu Nnaji Christian, Matthew Izuchukwu Ofoha, Chimamkpa Godwill Osakwe, Uwandu Bright, Uchechukwu Franklin Nwaodu, Emmanuel Aniweke Mmesoma,  Edeh Kelechukwu bethel  and Onu Chinedu Joshua, were convicted on separate charges bordering on bordering on fraudulent impersonation

All ten defendants pleaded guilty when the charges were read to them.

Justice Riman convicted and sentenced them to a one year imprisonment each.
