 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

2023 CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION: ANAMBRA STATE POLICE COMMAND PARTNERS POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE (PCRC) ON SCHOOL VISITATION


In celebration of 2023 Children’s Day, Anambra State Police Command today 26/5/2023 collaborated with the Police Community Relations Committee Anambra Chapter to visit the Police Children School, Awka and distributed gift items like exercise books and bags.

The Command through the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Ikenga Tochukwu during interaction with the pupil noted that children are the future and part of the conscience of our community and should be monitored not neglected. He also encouraged the children to know little things like, the names of their parents, phone numbers, the address of where they live, etc in case of any eventuality and urge parents to create a deliberate relationship with their wards. This will help them have access, to guide and direct them properly. 

On the other hand, the Woman leader of PCRC Chapter Anambra State, Mrs Ubah Stella Ijeoma, prayed for the children and presented the gift items. 

In attendance includes some officers drawn from the Police Public Relations Office, Anambra State Police Command, some Executive members of the PCRC, Teachers of the School, others.
