 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. The INEC chairman made the revelation while receiving the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Abisoye Coker-Odusote, and her management team during a courtesy visit in Abuja on Wednesday. A 3-YEAR OLD BOY MAULED TO DEATH BY STRAY DOGS ON THEIR FARM IN LIBYA.(PHOTO).#RIP

A three-year-old boy was mauled to death by ferocious stray dogs on his family’s farm in Qirat Shati village in southern Libya.

Just a day after a 5-year-old boy was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Hyderabad, another similar incident has come to the fore from the city where a 4-year-old boy was brutally attacked by stray dogs.

4-year-old Rishi was playing outside his house when 3-4 dogs attacked him. Fortunately in Rishi's case, he was noticed by his family members and was rescued. The boy received bleeding injuries and was treated. The incident happened in Maruti Nagar, Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad.

The boy's mother said that a pack of stray dogs chased Rishi and three other kids before attacking him. He has received deep scratches and injuries.
