  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. A MOTHER SLUMPED AND DIED AFTER HER SON DIED IN AN AUTO CRASH ON HIS WAY HOME FROM KWARA AFTER COMPLETING HIS NYSC.(PHOTO).

Young man k!lled in auto crash on his way home from Kwara after completing NYSC; his mum slumps and d!es after hearing the sad news


A young man identified as Christian Ugbede Abuka, has d!ed in an auto crash two days after he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Kwara State.


It was gathered that Christian collected his NYSC certificate on Thursday, May 25, 2025. 


The accident was said to have occurred in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday, May 28. 


His ailing mother, who was eagerly expecting him, slumped and d!ed after receiving news of his d£ath.


His brother, Joseph Abuka, confirmed the sad news on Facebook.


"It was a dark day in my family today. My younger brother Christian Ugbede Abuka was involved in a fatal accident on his way back from Kwara state for his NYSC documentation and he died. This resulted in his mother death. Nothing to say but to thank God." he wrote.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
