  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Abia Assembly writes DSS, Police over suspended House Members.

The Abia State House of Assembly has resolved to write the Department of State Security Services(SSS) and the Nigerian Police Force notifying them of the suspension of some House Members that towed the path of illegality by assembling in a private residence to purportedly impeach the Speaker of the House. 

At the House plenary today Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023, presided over by the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji FNSE, the House described the purported impeachment of the speaker as laughable and attempt to bring the Assembly into public ridicule.
