 Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa Unveils N400 Million Bursary and Scholarship Fund for 13,360 Students Akure, Ondo State - Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has officially flagged off the 2026 bursary, scholarship, and financial assistance programme, committing N400 million to support 13,360 students of Ondo State origin currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The significant initiative, aimed at bolstering educational development, was launched on Tuesday at the Cocoa Conference Centre of the Governor’s Office in Akure, the state capital. Extensive Support Across Student Categories During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa provided a detailed breakdown of the beneficiaries, highlighting the inclusive nature of the scheme. The programme will see 11,907 students receiving bursary awards, while 614 outstanding students have been granted scholarships. Atiku, PDP to Call 100 Witnesses in Petition against Tinubu’s Election

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have revealed their plans to call not more than 100 witnesses to testify in their petition challenging the election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

Their lawyer, Chris Uche (SAN) made this known on Saturday in Abuja at the resumption of proceedings before the PEPC this morning.

The legal practitioner said the anticipated 100 witnesses will include those already listed and those to be subpoenaed.

Meanwhile, lawyer to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Abubakar Mahmud SAN said his client plans to call two witnesses.

It is learnt that Bola Tinubu is to call 39 in addition to those to be subpoenaed while his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) plans to call 25 witnesses, in addition to those to be subpoenaed.
