 Dubai Police Hosts Graduation of World’s First Policing Innovation and Leadership (PIL) Diploma  His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Professional Diploma in Policing Innovation and Leadership (PIL), which the General Department of Training organised in collaboration with the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai at the Dubai Police Academy.  45 Officers, 30 Countries During the ceremony, which was attended by various ambassadors, consuls, and senior Dubai Police officers, Lieutenant General Al Marri awarded graduation certificates to 45 officers from 30 countries who completed the four-month program.  Lieutenant General Al Marri congratulated the graduates, highlighting that the diploma is the world's first and aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and t

Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion Observes 2023 Homage, Pray Over Farm implement

The Church of Nigeria Anglican communion, Diocese on the Niger has observed their homage and blessing of farm implement at the All Saints Cathdral Onitsha.

His lordship, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo, Bishop on the Niger prayed for all the faithful who garther with their farm implement for bountiful harvest this year.

Bishop Nwokolo also prayed that the lord will preserve them at a time like this.

Ven. Obi Ubaka, the archdeacon of the Onitsha main archdeanconry in his homily explained that homage is an annual event so dear to the diocese.

According to him, homage is a special event where all the faithful across the diocese gather at the Cathedral to worship God and show him appreciation for what he has done for them.

"Rogation sunday is one of the season for the church, it reminds the church that raining season has come and the faithfuls will come with their farm implements, seedlings, traders with what ever products or goods he or she sales and present them to the lord for blessing so that they will prosper."

Ven. Obi charge the faithful to always honour God with their substance.

Pst Peter Ezekwe while speaking with the information officer said that after synod , homage is another highest event, where the 19 archdeaconries that make up the diocese will garther at the cathedral with many things including food item, fruits, others to show God appreciation for all the many blessings bestowed upon them.

The Diocesan Young Wives Coordinator, myrs patience Okafor thanked God for the successful 2023 homage.
