 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.  Court Convict Yahoo Boy for Impersonation In Makurdi


The Makurdi Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, May 18, 2023, secured the conviction of one Samuel Kubiala Aboh, before Justice Abdul Dogo of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi on a one count charge bordering on impersonation. 


Kubiala was arrested by operatives of the Commission on January 28, 2022 at Lafia, Nassarawa State in relation to internet fraud activities.


He pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him. Upon his plea, the prosecution counsel A. S. Idris, prayed the court to convict and sentence him as charged.


Consequently, Justice Dogo convicted and sentenced him to one year imprisonment with an option of N500,000 fine. He was ordered to forfeit his iPhone 11 Pro Max model MWFC2LL/A  and Tecno Spark 8c which he used to commit the offence to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours.
