 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. Court Convicts One for Internet Fraud in Kaduna

The Kaduna Zonal Command has secured the conviction of one Triumph Abdul Yakubu before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna state High Court on a one count charge bordering on internet fraud. 

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. In view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, E.K Garba urged the court to convict him accordingly.

Justice Khobo convicted and sentenced the defendant to two years imprisonment with an option of fine of N 150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).

He is also to forfeit the sum of $400USD and his Apple iPhone Pro Max with Model No. GONPFD45D3Y which was used in committing the offence to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

His journey to jail commenced when he was arrested at Rosalux Hotel based on intelligence on his alleged criminal pursuits.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison.  Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
