 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Court Convicts Yahoo Trainer,  One Other for Cybercrimes


The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has secured the conviction of the duo of James Mark, aka Markscofield176 and Japhet Peter, aka Chafrin Bryan before Justice A.A Bello of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna on a one count charge bordering on internet fraud. 


The convicts were arrested at different locations within Kaduna metropolis, for alleged cybercrime offences. One of the convicts,  James Mark allegedly runs a Yahoo Academy where he trains youngsters in the craft of trickery and fraud in cyberspace.


They pleaded guilty to the charges.  The Prosecuting counsel, M.E Eimonye and M. Arumeni urged the court to convict them accordingly. Justice Bello convicted and sentenced them to two years imprisonment with an option of N 200,000 and 150,000 fine respectively.


They are to forfeit their phones which is includes, a black Samsung  with IMEI No. 3592731578398, one Infinix Note 10 with IMEI No. 399273157878466, a blue Samsung phone, an iPhone 13 Pro Max with IMEI 35637016335603, iPhone XR with IMEI No. 356422108520194 and one MacBook laptop with model No. A2338 serial No. FVFGJ15VQ05D to the Federal Government of Nigeria

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
