  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. Eniola Badmus to chair Entertainment Committee of Tinubu’s inauguration


Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has been appointed the chairman of the Entertainment Committee for President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration.

Ahead of May 29, 2023, preparations are already in top gear for the president-elect’s swearing-in.

A trending list on the internet showed that the actress would be chairing the Entertainment Committee for Tinubu’s inauguration.

Members of the group include Saheed Balogun, Toyin Abraham, Seyi Law, Lawal Olalekan, aka Konga, and singer Chuddy K, among others from the entertainment industry.

Eniola Badmus, who is a strong supporter of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 election, had in February begun the distribution of the Aso ebi selected for the celebration and swearing-in ceremony.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
