EXCITEMENT IN ABUJA AS NIGERIA AIR JET ARRIVES: SIRIKA DECLARES, "WE ARE HERE!"

Landmark Moment as First Nigeria Air Flight Touches Down in Abuja

On a Friday afternoon, the inaugural Nigeria Air flight successfully landed at Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika took to his official Twitter handle to confirm this significant milestone.

"We are here. To Almighty God be all the glory. It has been a very long, tedious, daunting, and difficult path. We thank everyone for the support," Sirika expressed, accompanying his tweet with a video showcasing the airplane.

He continued, "This, by the will of God, will be for us and generations to come. Ya Allah make it beneficial for our country and humanity."

The arrival of the Nigeria Air flight marks a crucial step in the long-anticipated commencement of operations and the unveiling of the delivery process, following years of delays. In March, Sirika had affirmed that the airline would initiate operations before the conclusion of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.

"Before the end of this administration, before May 29th, we will fly," he confidently declared.

The Minister highlighted that the Federal Government has made remarkable progress in the aviation sector, achieving over 90% of the aviation sector roadmap and leaving behind a strengthened and improved industry.
