 I’ll never support Peter Obi's presidential ambition - Seyi Law Popular stand-up comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, also known as Seyi Law has vowed never to support the presidential ambition of former Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.   In an interview on Tejubabyface show, Seyi Law attributed his reasons to Obi's failure to call the Obidient movement to order, particularly after its supporters allegedly attacked his wife and children due to his support for President Bola Tinubu. Seyi Law expressed deep resentment, stating that the attack on his family crossed a boundary that makes forgiveness impossible.  He emphasised that Peter Obi's refusal to admit and reprimand the Obidients for their actions solidifies his decision.  Seyi Law said: “I don’t feel down at all because when you talk too much, I swear for you. Gov Wike Appoints Ohna Awuse, as Chairman of Rivers Traditional Rulers Council 

Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Nyesom Wike, has approved the reconstitution of the Rivers State Traditional rulers council with His Majesty, Ohna Sergeant Awuse, Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom, as Chairman of Rivers State Traditional Rulers.

The State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, announced the appointment at the State Awards and Pre-Inauguration Dinner night held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Announcing His Majesty, Ohna Awuse, as the new Chairman of Rivers State Traditional Rulers, Governor Wike, said:

"By the powers vested on me as the Governor of Rivers State, I have graciously approved Ohna Sergeant Awuse as Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council."

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
