 Emefiele:  Finance Ministry Unaware of N124.86bn CBN Withdrawal,   Witness Tells Court   A Director in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Ali Mohammed, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, told the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, that the Ministry was not aware of the withdrawal of N124.86 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.   Mohammed, who testified as the prosecution witness 10, PW10, in the ongoing trial of the former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, disclosed this while being led in evidence by the prosecution counsel, Abbas Mohammed.   The witness said he appeared before the court because his Ministry received a letter from the investigation team concerning N154 billion said to have been withdrawn by the CBN.   Explaining his position and responsibilities in the Ministry, Mohammed said, “My Lord, the Department of Home Finance is made up of three functions based in three divisions, that is State and Public...

GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF QUARTERS


-As IGP Prioritizes Officers’ Welfare


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, accompanied by members of the Force Management Team, has today, May 3, 2023 conducted a groundbreaking ceremony of Police Officers Quarters at Zone 6, Wuse, Abuja. The event marked the commencement of construction works at the project site and was attended by Senior Police Officers, and other dignitaries drawn from all walks of life.


The project which is being coordinated and managed by Nigeria Police Force under the auspices of the Nigeria Police Properties Limited, will cover an area of 4.5 hectares and comprise 50 terraces of bungalows, a clubhouse, and a state-of-the-art sports complex amongst others with modern facilities and structures.  


The Inspector-General of Police emphasized his commitment to the welfare of Police Officers during his remarks at the occasion. He expressed the desire of his administration to create a Police Force with suitable accommodations for its personnel and noted that various large-scale barrack projects are currently underway and will continue to be implemented under his leadership.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
