 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband. Gunmen Kill Policeman At Check Point in Rivers

Dare-devil gunmen on Friday afternoon shot and killed a policeman at a check point around the Emohua axis of the East-West Road. The killers zoomed off immediately after the deed had been done

According to eye witnesses, a driver who was around the area and apparently waiting to be cleared at the checkpoint was hit by a stray bullet. It is not clear if he died.

The killers were suspected to be hoodlums who have been terrorising that axis of the East West Road. The road is actually occupied by various policemen who position themselves at checkpoints not far from each other.

Police spokesperson in the state command, Grace Harris Iringe-Koko, a deputy superintendent of police who spoke with TNN over the telephone on Friday evening confirmed the killing and also said that the gunmen did not go with any arms belonging to the policemen at the checkpoint.

She could not give details on the killing, saying she was yet to get a comprehensive report on the incident. She said investigations were on-going.
