 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Man confesses to killing 20 persons in Osun

Saheed Wasiu, also known as K-Federal, has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command.

According to a statement issued by the Command’s spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, Wasiu was previously wanted by the police for murder and cult-related crimes.

The suspect was detained by investigators from the Special Anti-Cultism section in the Alusekere region of Ede and is a member of the Rasheed Hammed, also known as Oko-Ilu-led Eiye Confraternity.

She said, “On 07/05/2023 at about 1400hrs, upon tip-off received that, one Saheed Wasiu ‘m’ popularly known as K-Federal, one of the deadly and notorious members of Rasheed Oko-Ilu led gangster was around Alusekere area, Ede, Osun State, Police detective from Special Anti-cultism unit swung into action and arrested the suspect.

“During the interrogation, he confessed to be a member of Eiye confraternity led by one Rasheed Hammed, a.k.a Oko-Ilu who has been arrested and remanded at correctional custody some time ago.”

Opalola revealed that the suspect admitted to actively participating in the killing of 20 people in Ede town.

She added,“

Osun River, Sagba area, Ede. Among the victims they have killed are: late Wale, Jamiu, Ganiyu, Azeez and Eyimba and others.”

She said that after the investigation is over, the suspect will be charged in court.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
