 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NDA Disowns Fake Selection List

Nigerian Defence Academy-NDA has disowned a list which has gone viral on some Social Media and other Microblogging Platforms Purporting to be Official Selection list for 75 Regular Course as fake.

In a statement by Spokesperson of the Academy, Major Victor Olukoya says the list which has been Published on Several Social Media Platforms is not only fake, but work of Fraudsters with the aim to fleece Law-abiding Members of the Public of their resources.

The Statement warns Members of the Public to steer clear of the fake Publication and the Publishers,Stressing that anyone dealing with them does so at their own risk.

It adds that the Process of selecting members of 75 regular course of the Academy is rigorous, thorough and still ongoing, and that when completed, the Authentic list will be officially Published by the Academy in some National Dailies and on NDA official website on www.nda.edu.ng

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
