 The vest did the job - Donald Trump confirms agent injured in D.C. shooting scare Donald Trump has confirmed that a Secret Service agent was injured during a shooting scare at a major press event in Washington, D.C. Speaking after the incident, Trump said the officer was hit at close range but avoided serious harm thanks to protective gear.  “One officer was shot but saved by the fact that he was wearing a very good bulletproof vest,” he said, adding that the agent is now recovering and in good spirits. The situation unfolded during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where attendees were settling in for the evening when gunfire was heard. Witnesses described a sudden shift from calm to panic, with people quickly moving for cover under tables as security responded. Nigerian Nollywood Actor, Chikezie Uwazie Dies In US 

Nigeria’s movie industry, Nollywood, has again been thrown into mourning as another actor, Chikezie Uwazie, was reported dead a few hours after the death of two popular actors, Saint Obi and Murphy Afolabi.

Uwazie reportedly died in the United States of America a few days after he underwent a second brain surgery.

Our correspondent reports that Uwazie’s colleague, Obey Etok Chima, posted the news of the actor’s death on her Facebook page on Sunday writing, “I can’t imagine am posting this. Chikezie Uwazie goneeeee. After a 2nd brain surgery. Gini na emezi. Am so shocked to get this news this evening. Just got this from our IMSU alumni platform.

“I thought you told me you were going to the states for greener pastures. You promised to come back some years back but I didn’t see you. Can’t believe you are gone but God knows best. Rest on Chyko."
