 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NIGERIAN, OSIBOGUN ELECTED DEPUTY MAYOR OF BUCKINGHAM IN THE UK.


A Nigerian, Dr. Adekunle Osibogun has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Buckingham in England, United Kingdom for a period of one year.

The Communications Manager of Omo Oodua Worldwide, Maxwell Adeleye, who made this known in a statement said Dr Osibogun is currently a councillor representing Buckingham South on the Buckingham Town Council.

Osibogun will deputise for the new Town Mayor who was also elected for a period of one year.

His tie to the communty began in 2004 when he arrived in Buckingham for his second undergraduate degree.

As the new Deputy Mayor, Osibogun will assist the Town Mayor with council meetings and promoting community focused initiatives; addressing residents concerns and overseeing the town’s public service departments to ensure they operate effectively.

Osibogun hails from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun-State, South-West, Nigeria and he is a former House of Representatives Candidate for Ijebu Central Federal Constituency during the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
