  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Over 400 Intending Nasarawa Pilgrims Stranded At Abuja Camp

Over 400 hundred intending pilgrims from Nasarawa State are said to be stranded at the FCT Hajj Camp, Abuja. 

The stranded intending pilgrims according to a stakeholder, Mallam Buhari Sani, may miss the 2023 hajj exercise if nothing is done to airlift them before the closure of Saudi Arabia's airspace. 

He said they were earmarked for the 4th flight but were told that the aircraft to ferry them developed technical problems and currently undergoing repairs. 

Sani who berated the management of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board over the situation appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to come to the aid of the affected intending pilgrims. 

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had allocated 1,567 slots to the State for this year's exercise. 

The first flight ferried over 560 intending pilgrims from the State to Saudi on May 25. Hours later, second and subsequently the 3rd flight took off. 

Meanwhile, the management of the Board assured that efforts are being made to ferry the remaining intending pilgrims and appealed for calm.
