Male passenger dies aboard flight after he reportedly attempted to open the cabin door mid-air A male passenger aboard a Kenya Airways flight reportedly lost his life shortly after he made several attempts to open the cabin door while the aircraft was in the air. Some Nigerians who were aboard the aircraft shared videos showing the moment other passengers were thrown into panic as the man made several attempts while being prevented by strong men who held him down. One of the passengers onboard the aircraft said the man was very aggressive before boarding and should not have been allowed into the flight. It is unclear what led to his death and the reason why he made several attempts to disembark from the flight midair.

POLICE ARREST YORUBA NATION AGITATORS


 - warn subversive elements to steer clear or face the wrath of the law
 - assure of adequate security emplacements for inauguration ceremony

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two Yoruba Nation Agitators in the early hours of today.

The agitators, numbering fifteen, had stormed Alausa Police Division at about 0535hrs today, chanting, ‘Yoruba Nation has taken over,’ and injured some police officers who attempted to disperse them. Two of the agitators were arrested while the rest took to their heels following
the prompt and coordinated response of the police. 

The suspects who were arrested with charms, dangerous weapons and different offensive insignias bearing Yoruba Nation Army, stormed Alausa Division along with others at about the same time another set of the group was 

 attempting to take over a radio station in Ibadan, Oyo State. They claimed they came to officially inform the Police that the United Nations had granted approval for the take off of Yoruba Nation. 


The arrested suspects are currently assisting the Police in the ongoing
investigation into the subversive plans of the group as well as their network of sponsors, all of whom will soon be unveiled and brought to deserved justice in the overriding internal security interest of the State.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command,
CP Idowu Owohunwa, uses this medium to warn all subversive elements to steer clear of the state as the Command is fully ready and has the strong will and operational orientation to bring the full weight of the law to bear on them or on any other elements that might attempt to disrupt the stable security order in Lagos.

The CP notes that the Command, while working in synergy with other security agencies, has maximally deployed its intelligence, human and operational assets across the length and breadth of the state to effectively suppress any ill-advised person or groups under any nomenclature who might be attempting to test the law enforcement will of the Command before, during and after the May 29, 2023 inauguration. 

CP Owohunwa equally appreciates the good people of Lagos State for their unrelenting cooperation with the police and urges them to continue to manifest their patriotism by promptly reaching out to the police or nearest security agency whenever the need arises.
