 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. Police Arrests 10 Suspected Kidnappers In Wamba

TEN suspected kidnappers and 16 others have been arrested for various criminal offences in Nasarawa State by operatives of the Nigeria Police. 

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel made this known during press briefing at the command’s headquarters on Wednesday in Lafia while parading the suspects. 

According to Nansel, the press briefing was aimed at bringing members of the public up to date with the recent achievements recorded by the command in its bid to ensure a safe and secure state. 

He said the suspected kidnappers were nabbed on May 23 following credible intelligence made available to a team of Mobile Policemen attached to Operation Restore Peace. 

The Police Spokesperson revealed that the officers stormed the kidnappers’ hideout located at Ambaka village of Farin Ruwa Development Area, Wamba LGA, where the arrests were made and two victims rescued. 

Those arrested include Sale Adamu 34yrs, Idi Halilu 27yrs, Abdul Sale, 20yrs, Mallam Gambo 48yrs and Goma Halilu 20yrs all males of Ambaka village. 

Similarly, Nansel said police operatives attached to the Command’s Anti-kidnapping unit, on May 15, also arrested two suspected gunrunners

“The duo of Gabriel Sati ‘M’ 41yrs of Dokan Kasuwa Village, Quan’pan LGA, Plateau State and Omage Iliya ‘M’ 27yrs of Kofan Liman, Assakio conspired among themselves, went to Assakio to purchase three (3) AK47 riffles at the rate of one million, one hundred thousand naira each.

“Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were contracted by one Omage Obenu ‘M’ of Assakio to source for the weapons, they negotiated with the seller before nemesis caught up with them at the point they planned to meet and seal the deal. The suspects have made useful statements and investigation is ongoing”, he added.
