 PRESS RELEASE MINISTER OF INFORMATION LEADS HEADS OF AGENCIES TO BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE IN LAS VEGAS In an effort to strengthen broadcast collaborations and form strategic alliances, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris fnipr, has led a delegation of heads of government agencies to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference and Workshop in Las Vegas, USA. The NAB event, running from April 5 to 9, carries the theme “The Technology, The Trend, The Future” and will cover a range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud visualization, the creator economy, and sports production and streaming. PRESIDENT BUHARI CONDOLES WITH FORMER SENATE PRESIDENT, KEN NNAMANI ON PASSING OF WIFE
 

President Muhammadu Buhari shares in the grief of loss with former Senate President, Ken Nnamani and his family, trusting the Almighty God to grant the family strength over the passing of Mrs Jane Udewo Nnamani.
 
The President believes the good works of the late wife of Sen. Nnamani will always be remembered by her friends and associates, particularly the Amaechi Awknawnaw community, where she has been a source of hope and succour for many.
 
President Buhari urges the Nnamani family to look unto the Lord at this very difficult moment of pain and deep reflection, knowing that help comes only from Him.
 
The President prays for God’s comforting arms over the family and a peaceful rest for the departed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
