 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. On behalf of the Government and the good people of Imo State, I congratulate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinub GCFR and His Excellency, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima GCON as they take over the mantle of leadership of our great nation.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR had hinted at his economic policies and developmental initiatives targeted at growing our GDP. His administration is anchored on a Renewed Hope with transformational agenda and unifying purpose for the peaceful coexistence of our nation and its continued development.

As Mr President and his team hit the ground running with key policies and programs, the Government and good people of Imo State are offering unalloyed support to his administration and it is our prayers that God will grant him the wisdom and longevity to carry on his duties as the 16th President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
