 TRAGIC LOSS OF NYSC CORPS MEMBER DURING ARMED ROBBERY INCIDENT IN DEI-DEI Headquarters Guards Brigade regrets the tragic loss of Mr. Abdulsamad Jamiu, a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member  during a security incident in the early hours of 25 April 2026 at Shagari Estate, Dei-Dei, Abuja. The unfortunate incident occurred when troops of the Guards Brigade Quick Response Group, on routine night patrol, responded to a distress call following an armed robbery attack in the area. Upon arrival, the troops came under gunfire from the fleeing armed robbers, resulting in a brief but intense exchange. In the course of the engagement, Mr. Jamiu was caught in the crossfire. Despite efforts by troops to secure the area and preserve lives, he sadly succumbed to his injuries. This heartbreaking loss has cast a deep shadow over all personnel of the Guards Brigade. RESCUED BEGGAR DURING THE AWKA METROPOLIS RAID EMPOWERED BY THE WOMEN AFFAIRS COMMISSIONER

One of the beggars rescued during the raid which took place in Awka on Wednesday has been financially empowered by the Anambra State Women Affairs Commissioner.

The financial support was part of the ministry's mandate in ensuring that the vulnerable beggars caught in the streets are empowered to start up some businesses.

Handing over the cash to the disabled beggar, Ifeoma Chukwu, a native of Otolo Nnewi, the Women and social welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo who noted that the support came from the wife of the governor of Anambra state, Mrs Nonye Soludo, advised her to make good use of the money given to him.

Hon Obinabo used the medium to warn miss Chukwu that if she's caught again, she will be charged to court.

On her part, Miss Chukwu appreciated the women and social welfare boss and promised to use the fund judiciously.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
