Melissa Adams, 31, from Owens Cross Roads, said she was on her way home from her rehearsal dinner in November when another vehicle slammed into hers at a stoplight. The collision left her needing emergency medical attention, and it was at the hospital that doctors uncovered something far more serious. During a CT scan following the crash, medical staff found masses in her body. That was the moment Melissa learned she had stage four cancer. Resident Doctors Suspend Strike

The leadership of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its one-week warning strike which it embarked upon on Wednesday, May 17.

President of the association, Dr. Emeka Orji, told Channels Television via a telephone conversation that the association suspended the action for two weeks after reaching some agreement with the government on Friday.

He, however, stated that the doctors will meet again on the second day of June this year to review progress made with the agreement signed after which the association will decide on their next line of action.

YYou would recall it was earlier reported that the resident doctors and the Federal Government have reached an agreement over the five-day warning strike embarked upon by the association.

On May 17,  NARD began a five-day warning strike to press home its demands after a 14-day ultimatum to the government lapsed.

The doctors are demanding, among other things, the payment of all salary arrears for their members as well as the immediate upgrade of infrastructure in public hospitals.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
