  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Security Guard Convicted for Stealing Forfeited Property in Kaduna

Justice A.A Bello of the Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna, has convicted and sentenced one Abdul_Bari Yakubu to two years imprisonment on one count charge bordering on dealing in forfeited property.

The defendant, a former personnel of Kaduna State Vigilance Service, KADVS, was arrested by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on March 13, 2023 after he alleged stole a 34" Samsung Television set from Halal Fountain Hotel Annex, a property under interim forfeiture.
 
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

Justice Bello convicted and sentenced him to two years imprisonment or a fine of N160,000.00.
