 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. SAD! Scores Kidnapped As Armed Robbers Block Garaku/Gudi Road

Armed robbers, Wednesday night attacked travellers on the Garaku/Gudi expressway in Nasarawa State. 

The incident occurred around Mararaban Arusu  at the Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State where scores of travellers were abducted and whisked away to unknown destination. 

According to an eyewitness, the gunmen also shot no less three passengers who were later confirmed dead at a nearby hospital. 

The gunmen had shot on a heavy duty vehicle where it broke down and slowed traffic on the expressway before carrying out their operations amidst the heavy downpour. 

Efforts to reach the DPO of Garaku Division proved abortive at press time. But a policeman said security operatives have been deployed to the area to bring the situation under control and ensure safety of travellers and other road users.
