 I led war for Tinubu’s election victory in Rivers – Wike Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Saturday, said he led the war that delivered victory to President Bola Tinubu in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election. Speaking in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State, Wike tackled former supporters of ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar who are now backing Tinubu. Wike noted that they failed to give Atiku 10 percent during the 2023 presidential election but have chosen to support Tinubu. He warned that nobody would be allowed to lead Tinubu’s campaign in the state. Wike said: “In 2023, we led the war to deliver President Tinubu in Rivers State. Those who supported Atiku in 2023 and couldn’t give him 10% are now saying that they’re going to lead President Tinubu’s campaign in Rivers State. “Is it possible? Nobody in this state can push us out. We have led the war and don’t be bothered about the abuses.”

WHY I'LL NEVER CALL TINUBU MY PRESIDENT - TUNDE BAKARE



He noted that he would address him as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not ‘My President’.


Bakare disclosed this while responding to a question after delivering his speech on the Zoom programme titled ‘Building the New Nigeria: The Role of the Diaspora’ organised by the PTB4Nigeria In Diaspora Group.


He said: “Last Wednesday, I was at the Glass House where he (Buhari) has been restricted now because the main house is being renovated. I said I have done that for you. I want you to know that, because of the circumstances of your flying into power on the wings of integrity and incorruptibility, but you’re now passing onto someone who does not have that value.


He said that at “any public lecture anywhere, before this mess is cleared off, I will address Asiwaju (Tinubu) as a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria but I will never call him my president.”


 The cleric alleged series of electoral malpractices during the 2023 presidential elections, saying the Independent National Electoral Commission made a mess of the process.


Tinubu will be inaugurated as the next Nigeria President tomorrow, while President Muhammadu Buhari will head to his home town, Daura in Katsina state to rest.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
