 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. CAR CRASHES INTO TRUCK IN MONZE LEAVING PASSENGERS WITH INJURIES 



MONZE Police on Sunday recorded a Serious Injury Road Traffic Accident involving a Mercedes Benz truck and a Honda Fit, near Monze Town Council Truck Park Yard.

Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga tells Byta FM Zambia that the accident happened when the driver of the Benz Truck turned right without due care, and in the process, the Honda Fit crashed into his truck.

Hamoonga says the driver of the Honda Fit, identified as James Mwamba, 35, of Chilenje Lusaka sustained a fractured right leg, bruises on the right side of the face and general body pains.

He says Mwamba’s passenger, identified as Florence Mulyata, 25, of Cold storage area Livingstone sustained general body pains.

The Police Spokesperson says that the accident happened around 05:00 hours, adding that the driver if the Honda Fit and the passenger are admitted to Monze Mission Hospital.
