 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. CAR CRASHES INTO TRUCK IN MONZE LEAVING PASSENGERS WITH INJURIES 



MONZE Police on Sunday recorded a Serious Injury Road Traffic Accident involving a Mercedes Benz truck and a Honda Fit, near Monze Town Council Truck Park Yard.

Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga tells Byta FM Zambia that the accident happened when the driver of the Benz Truck turned right without due care, and in the process, the Honda Fit crashed into his truck.

Hamoonga says the driver of the Honda Fit, identified as James Mwamba, 35, of Chilenje Lusaka sustained a fractured right leg, bruises on the right side of the face and general body pains.

He says Mwamba’s passenger, identified as Florence Mulyata, 25, of Cold storage area Livingstone sustained general body pains.

The Police Spokesperson says that the accident happened around 05:00 hours, adding that the driver if the Honda Fit and the passenger are admitted to Monze Mission Hospital.
