  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. 100-level Adamawa varsity student d!es after snakebite on campus

A 100-level student of the Modibbo Adama University in Yola, Adamawa State, has died after she was reportedly bitten by a snake.
 
The deceased, Comfort Isah, was allegedly bitten by a snake at the Faculty of Education last week.

Special Assistant to the Adamawa State Governor, Hon. Miracle Musa, who confirmed the incident, said the student died on Tuesday night, June 13, 2023.
