 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration. Court Jails Three Fraudsters 12 Years in  Sokoto

Justice Muhammad Sifawa of the Sokoto State High Court has convicted and sentenced three fraudsters:  Joseph Moses, Raji Tijjani and Albert Chris Bulus, to twelve years imprisonment.

They were jailed after pleading guilty to one- count separate charges bordering on impersonation and obtaining under false pretence.

The three defendants pleaded guilty to each of their charges.

In view of their guilty pleas, prosecution counsel, S.H Shehu prayed the court to convict and sentence them accordingly. 

Justice Sifawa thereafter convicted and sentenced all the three defendants to four years imprisonment each.

The convicts' journey to the Correctional Centre began when they were arrested by operatives of the Sokoto Command of the EFCC, for impersonating foreigners and defrauding their victims in the process.  They were subsequently prosecuted and convicted.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
