 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Court Remands Alleged Ritualist Father To Prison Custody In Awka.

The Chief Magistrate of the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate court in Awka, Genevieve Osakwe has remanded one Mr. Sunday Ezeh for attempted murder and inflicting injuries on his 17 year old daughter.

Mr. Ezeh a native of Ara village Nise in Awka South local government area of the state was arraigned before the Magistrate court on Wednesday, 21st June, 2023.

The Chief Magistrate Osakwe mandated that the case be transmitted to the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence High court in Awka for hearing.

Recall that Mr. Ezeh is the father of the rescued 17 year old who is currently recuperating after an emergency head surgery at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital Awka.

The 17 year old who was rescued by the Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo though still at the state teaching hospital,is responding to treatments
