 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. Abiodun approves appointment of six special advisers

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of six special advisers.

The new appointment is the second to be made by the governor to kickstart his second term in office. He had earlier re-appointed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi and also approved the appointment of Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS),

According to a statement e-signed by the SSG, Mr. Oladapo Okubadejo has been appointed as the Chief Economic Adviser to the governor.
Others are, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, Special Adviser, Budget and Planning; Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, Special Adviser, Housing; Engr. Adebowale O. Akinsanya, Special Adviser, Works & Infrastructure; Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, Special Adviser, Justice and Dr. Tomi Coker, Special Adviser, Health.

According to Mr. Talabi, the appointments take immediate effect

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison.  Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her. Namtira said if the school authorities fail to sanction the student bullies within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, she would seek immediate and severe legal redress against the school.
