 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. Today, we hosted a welcome reception for His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It was an absolute honor and delight for me to welcome back to the Centre of Excellence a man whose life, work and legacy remains a guiding light for us all. 

Also at the event were my esteemed colleagues from the Nigeria Governors Forum, leadership of the National Assembly, government functionaries and members of the All Progressive Congress. 

Today is an auspicious day as it marks the one month anniversary of our President’s tenure; a tenure that began with a promise of change and one that is already delivering on that promise. 

In one month, His Excellency has assembled a team of exceptional individuals who share his vision and are working tirelessly to transform Nigeria into a prosperous and inclusive nation. 

In President Tinubu, we see a leader committed to the development of Nigeria, its people and its future and once again, we welcome him back to his home state and wish everyone a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
