  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. Governor Soludo Commissions Steel Plant In Awkuzu 



Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirmed his resolve to encourage industrialization in Anambra State by providing an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state. 

The Governor gave the assurance at Awkuzu, Oyi local government area, while commissioning an  indigenous steel plant, Milton Steel Manufacturing Company Limited.

The Governor who assured to create a conducive environment for industrialization said the first step is provision of power supply which already in the works to provide 24hour supply in the state. 

While assuring to remain focused in the business of providing good governance to ndi Anambra, Governor Soludo maintained that he remains the Chief marketing Officer of everything "Made in Anambra" adding that the best way to create jobs is to promote local manufacturing. 

He promised to continue doing what he can as a government to create enabling environment for industrialization to help achieve industrialized and tech driven economy.

He commended the founders for the bold step assured his support to help the industry grow.

One of the Directors of the Company and Member-Elect Representing Oyi Constituency at the state House of Assembly, Mr Innocent Ojike in his address said that their interest is to create jobs, wealth and grow the economy of the state.

He thanked Governor Soludo for his efforts in repositioning the state for the better and promised their support.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Industry, Mr Christian Udechukwu, other government functionaries attended the event.

The commissioning of the complex and unveiling of the plaque led to the climax of the event.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
