 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  GOVERNOR UZODIMMA PREACHES POLITICAL HARMONY AS HE HOSTS COALITION MEMBERS OF THE 10TH HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE



Governor Hope Uzodimma has appealed to the coalition members of the 10th House of Representatives to do more in closing ranks with every other members of the 10th House of Representatives ahead of the June 13th Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.


The Governor, who is the Chairman of Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF), made this appeal while playing host to the coalition members of the 10th House of Representatives at the Imo State Governor's Lodge, Abuja. At the meeting, His Excellency preached for political harmony as a panacea for quality governance.


The members presented their choice of Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for the Speakership and Deputy Speakership positions for the 10th House of Representatives, which Governor Hope Uzodimma described as the Choice of the people's representatives and as such should be supported by all progressive-minded citizens.


His Excellency further stressed the need for a synergy amongst the three arms of Government in order to ensure smooth roll out of the Renewed Hope project of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
