 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  GOVERNOR UZODIMMA PREACHES POLITICAL HARMONY AS HE HOSTS COALITION MEMBERS OF THE 10TH HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE



Governor Hope Uzodimma has appealed to the coalition members of the 10th House of Representatives to do more in closing ranks with every other members of the 10th House of Representatives ahead of the June 13th Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly.


The Governor, who is the Chairman of Progressive Governors' Forum (PGF), made this appeal while playing host to the coalition members of the 10th House of Representatives at the Imo State Governor's Lodge, Abuja. At the meeting, His Excellency preached for political harmony as a panacea for quality governance.


The members presented their choice of Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for the Speakership and Deputy Speakership positions for the 10th House of Representatives, which Governor Hope Uzodimma described as the Choice of the people's representatives and as such should be supported by all progressive-minded citizens.


His Excellency further stressed the need for a synergy amongst the three arms of Government in order to ensure smooth roll out of the Renewed Hope project of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
